RECAP: Training in Roselle, IL – August 21-25, 2017

August 29, 2017

The late August training class included seven attendees from five different companies.  They represented a range of skill levels from machine operators, to setup men, to production engineer in one case!

The class covered the standard Tsugami 2 Path Training curriculum along with a presentation that about cutter compensation.  The group used the Tsugami Abile software to program two parts including a sample part from one of the customer’s shops. They also set up a program on the S206 machine in the showroom in Roselle.  Joshua Sharp, Tsugami/Rem Sales’ Assistant Engineering Manager, taught the classroom portions of the week and Application Engineer, Steve Allison covered the hands on training at the machine.  After the workholding and cutting tools were installed on the machine, Steve guided the group through the process of verifying our new program at the machine.  He also showed them some tips on editing programs at the machine.

Everyone went home with a sample part and copies of the information covered, some additional technical information to inspire future learning, copies of the programs written, the Abile software used for programming, and a diploma!
